Our Story.
At Skyspan Shade we specialise in the design and manufacture of premium commercial grade architectural umbrellas.
As bespoke shade designers by trade, we’ve spent the last 20 years building a portfolio of work that has taken us all over the world, and inspired our range of innovative and elegant umbrellas.
While we’ve always invested in equipment and streamlining operations, we continue to work from our original purpose built factory in Yatala, Brisbane.
Our turn-key service begins with our unique umbrella designs, which are all certified by structural engineers and wind rated to meet or exceed Australian standards.
Our focus has always been to make sure customisation doesn’t have to be cost prohibitive, because as a designer and manufacturer we value choice.
These days we can make changes at the touch of a button, but we still enjoy personally testing every umbrella, before we deliver it to you.
While our umbrellas offer instant and easy shelter, sometimes a bespoke structure is just the best solution for the job.
Over the years we’ve worked with architects, councils, schools and builders, designing custom structures to meet their particular needs.
In June 2019 we joined the NZ based, TGF Group.
This has been a welcomed next step in the evolution of Skyspan Shade offering us the opportunity to draw on the resources, experience and supply chains of our sister companies.
We’re still doing what we do best – manufacturing and delivering the best quality commercial umbrellas to our customers throughout Australia, and worldwide.
